Episode 111 - Perfect Blue

In the spirit of Halloween, we review the psychological thriller anime movie Perfect Blue. Mima Kirigoe pivots her life as a J-pop idol to pursue an acting career. Shortly thereafter however, Mima's life begins to change for the worst after leaving the J-pop group. Stalkers, gaslighting and disturbing murders start to unhinge Mima and make her question reality from fantasy.

Episode 109 - I’m the Villainous, So I’m Taming The Final Boss [Part 1]

We've seen it before, where our main character gets isekai'd into an Otome game and has to re-write her destiny to NOT die. However, in Taming The Final Boss, we have some solid story progression, interesting characters and great sound and art style. Has this show perfected the Otome Isekai genre? We hope you agree with us and give this show a watch!
In this episode we also discuss the first episodes of both Chainsaw Man and Mob Psycho 3, how Rie Takahashi is the best and how sometimes beloved shows and movies need to just end already.

We also veer off topic and ask each other what cybernetic appendage we'd want, Tom's struggle with getting his hands on the new real grade god gundam, and the biased rules for Twitch streamers.

A group of orphans-turned-assassins form the female-led terrorist control team named the "Lycoris" program. When an act of insubordination leads Takina to be reassigned and partnered with famed Lycoris prodigy Chisato, she may begin to realize there is more to life than just taking it.
In usual fashion, we also discuss the shows coming up for Fall and Winter '22, our new bookshelf to house our ever-growing manga collection, and how we're eagerly awaiting a new show to join the list of "greats" from anime past.
